We set out to make the best speartips possible for our
personal use. We have gone through several years of evolutionary development
and have gravitated toward liking the feel of the lighter shafts but had been
frustrated by thelack of support for adequate holding power for big fish.
Kitto developed these tips but never had the time to make enough of them
to satisfy his friends until under much prodding he was forced to complete a
design and coordinate with the materials market. What has resulted is a a "TIP
SYSTEM" capable of holding the largest of gamefish but designed for the 7mm
(9/32) shaft market and also with the new adaptor as the most hydrodynamic slip
tip available for 5/16 inch shafts ( it scores a perfect 1.0 dispersion ratio
with these shafts).
Take a visual preview of this system - all interchangable
parts and all "field modifiable and field changeable" and even interchangable
with the adaptor for the Alexander Klone - TIBOR adaptor. The material is 17-4
Stainless Steel. Heat treated and tested to 46C on the Rockwell hardness scale
(harder 'n hell in laymans terms).

Spectra Rigging Tutorial
Splice the 1000 lb 12 strand tubular spectra back
on itself to form a loop
Use the .020 safety wire to form a loop thru the
loop in the spectra
Push the safety wire thru the slot in the side of
the tip body at out thru
the hole in its threaded end.
Grab the wire in a vice or with some plyers and pull
the loop of spectra thru the tip body
Thread the monofilament (approx 400lb test) thru
the loop in the spectra
and remove the wire.
Bend the mono into a U shape and cut so both legs
are about 5/16 inches long. Thenscrew
the tip down over it onto the body.
Use the loop of safety wire again to pull the spectra
thru the slide ring .
Use the loop of safety wire a final time to pull
a spliced loop of spectra thru the
#10 sleeve .
Finally pass a loop of
mono thru the spectra and crimp it (just crimp the mono) to keep the
mono from pulling back out of the sleeve.
Rigging Tutorial with 750lb Spectra
Tie a double overhand knot in the center of a 5 foot
piece of 750 lb spectra
Put the shorter half of the spectra in the fid and
splice all the way out the end of the longer half
of spectra
Use the safety wire thru the slot in the side of
the tip body to pull the spectra
thru .
Pull it all the way up to the knot
then screw on the tip
